Truffles

Impress guests with rich, homemade truffles. Finished with Dolci Frutta melting wafers, they feature a smooth, fudgy center and a classic chocolate coating.

Ingredients

  1. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat, or in the microwave, until simmering. Move to a medium sized mixing bowl.
  2. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Melt one of your Dolci Frutta according to package directions.
  4. Pour melted Dolci into the mixing bowl with the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
  5. Stir until well combined, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until firm.
  6. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  7. Use a tablespoon to scoop out Dolci mixture. Use your hands to roll into balls. Set aside on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Melt the remaining canister of Dolci Frutta according to package directions.
  9. Dip each truffle into the melted Dolci Frutta, then use a fork to lift it out and gently shake off the excess. Place on the prepared baking sheet to set.
  10. Allow to set slightly before drizzling with remaining Dolci Frutta. Once drizzled, store in the fridge for 10 minutes or until set.

Tips

  • Work in batches. Roll and dip a few truffles at a time, keeping the rest chilled so they hold their shape while coating.
  • Wait before drizzling. Allow the chocolate coating to set slightly before drizzling so the design stays on top instead of melting in.
